报告摘要:
This talk will introduce you to a breakthrough technology that has the potential to revolutionize the way we store and manage data in the age of artificial intelligence and beyond. Unlike random access memory that can perform data updates at arbitrary locations, the new memory technology, skyrmion racetrack memory (SK-RM), relies on access ports to inject or delete skyrmions or non-skyrmions for representing data bits 1 and 0. SK-RM's ability to shift data quickly and precisely, as well as its low energy consumption, makes it a strong candidate for next-generation memory solutions. By optimizing the use of skyrmions, we can address the challenges of handling large datasets and complex neural network models, paving the way for faster, more efficient AI processing. Various optimizing designs are also shared.
